J C Smith's crew picked up this airplane in Kearney NE and on 14 Jan 1945 flew it to Tinian landing on 23 Jan.  During these days we named the plane "Snugglebunny".  This crew flew 21 missions in this plane with the 6th BG.  On 16 June we were suddenly transferred to the 504th BG and finished the war with them.  That was when Jennings got the plane.

This crew was awarded the DFC for their May 25-26 mission to the Tokyo Urban Area (Mission 44).

They were transferred to the 421st Bomb Squadron, 504th Bomb Group, 313th Bomb Wing along with Crew #2416.
